Our Beginning
Joy Nature School began when our founder noticed that there was a tremendous gap in the modern early childhood education system. While studies were showing that children learn better when they play and spend time in nature, more and more schools are cutting off recess and keeping kids indoors and isolated. In response we founded Joy Nature School, the first preschool of its kind in Johnson County, KS. Where children play and learn in nature.

Our Mission
At JNS we believe that children learn best outdoors in nature, so we take them there. Each class is held in a natural area in the city. Children lead their own learning, nothing is forced. Parents accompany their children to class and participate in the experience. Not only is this school for the children but it is a great experience for parents too!
